English grammar is a key component of the IELTS test. Learning and understanding grammar will dramatically improve your English language skills in general and your ability to answer the questions in each of the four skill tests. For example, in the IELTS writing test, grammatical range and accuracy are one of the four marking criteria for both Task 1 and Task 2. That means 25% of your total mark depends on your grammar skills.
