Accepted English tests and versions
UTS lists IELTS Academic (including Online and One Skill Retake), TOEFL iBT/Home Edition, PTE Academic and Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency. OET appears in selected health tables.
Online and retake acceptance is category-specific. Check the exact row before booking; do not combine sittings unless your course’s rules allow it.

Score requirements
Both the overall result and each listed skill minimum matter. These are clearly identified admission categories, not a promise that one row covers every degree.

Undergraduate, postgraduate and higher-requirement courses
The general undergraduate and postgraduate coursework minimums match. Research applicants must use the separate research section.
Nursing, midwifery, teaching and selected clinical programs have separate tables. Combined degrees use the higher requirement.
Check the named course or category on the official admissions/course page. Write down the course code and intake so your question is specific.
How recent must your evidence be?
General tests: less than two years before application. Teaching and health sections also use commencement-based limits; check both dates.
Compare your test date with the date named in the rule. If your result will be close to expiry, ask admissions before planning another test.
Previous study and alternative evidence
Recognised English-medium qualifications and specified school qualifications may satisfy the general requirement; special-course conditions still apply.
Prepare your transcript and any official evidence about the language of teaching and assessment. Let admissions decide whether it satisfies your course; a school’s use of English alone is not proof of eligibility.

UTS College Academic English Level 5 (AE5) is listed as an alternative for general coursework entry. Confirm progression for your degree.
Explore the university’s English pathway options. Ask about entry evidence, the required final result and whether that route can be packaged with your intended degree. Master English preparation is separate from these university programs.

- Find English language entry requirements. Record the accepted test version, overall score and every skill minimum.
- Check exceptions, test dates, retakes and any conditions on your offer.
