Privacy policy
This policy explains how Master English Australia handles information collected through our website, learning services and communications.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, English test, required score, study or migration goal, communication preferences, marketing consent, course enrolment and payment status. If you create an account, we may also collect learning progress, saved vocabulary, spelling practice, assessment results, submissions and support records.
How we collect it
We collect information when you contact us, book an assessment, create an account, enrol, purchase access, use a learning application, submit course work or communicate with our team. Technical information such as security logs may also be collected when needed to operate and protect the website.
Why we use it
We use personal information to answer enquiries, organise assessments, recommend suitable preparation, deliver courses and learning tools, process or confirm payments, maintain progress records, provide support, protect our systems and meet legal obligations.
Enquiries and leads
When you send an enquiry, we create a lead record so an authorised Master English team member can follow up by email, phone, text message or WhatsApp. Providing information does not require you to enrol.
Marketing choices
Marketing is optional. We only record marketing permission when you actively select the marketing option or otherwise provide valid consent. Our marketing messages will identify Master English and provide a way to unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe option or contacting us.
Bookings
Appointment information may be processed through Microsoft 365 and, for online appointments, Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Bookings receives the information required to arrange the appointment after you submit your Master English enquiry.
Payments
Online card payments may be processed by Stripe and online PayPal payments by PayPal. These providers process payment details under their own privacy policies. Master English should not receive or store your full card number. Bank-transfer payments are confirmed against the information needed to identify your payment and enrolment.
Service providers and disclosure
We may use trusted providers for website hosting, email delivery, bookings, authentication, payments, data storage, security and communications. This may include Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Microsoft, Stripe and PayPal. We provide only the information reasonably needed for each service. Some providers may process or store information outside Australia.
Student management database
Public website accounts remain separate from the internal student management database. Relevant enquiry, enrolment, payment and course information may be transferred securely to the internal system so authorised staff can manage the student relationship. Administrative records are not made available through the public website.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including restricted access, server-side credentials, encrypted connections, input validation and abuse controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, complete card details or unnecessary sensitive information through the enquiry form.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business and education records, resolve disputes and meet legal, accounting or security obligations. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
Access, correction and deletion
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw marketing permission or request deletion where applicable. Some records may need to be retained when required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies and similar browser technologies, including local storage and session storage, help the website remember settings and operate services. We group them as essential, analytics, marketing and functional technologies. Essential technologies remain active because they support security, login, consent choices and core website or learning functions. Analytics, marketing and functional technologies are optional and are used only according to the preferences you save.
Analytics
When you allow analytics, our first-party Growth Intelligence system records anonymous browser and session identifiers, pages visited, page titles, approximate traffic source and campaign information, referrers, broad device, browser and operating-system categories, and interactions such as course-button, booking, WhatsApp, phone, email and form-start clicks. We use this information to understand which information helps visitors, improve navigation and course pages, and measure website performance. Analytics does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, typed form contents or student learning records.
Marketing and functional choices
Marketing technologies may be used to measure advertising and campaign performance if these services are added and you allow them. Functional technologies may remember optional settings or enable enhanced website features. Turning either category off will not disable essential website functions. We do not currently activate an optional third-party marketing tracker merely because the preference exists; any future tracker must check the relevant saved choice before loading.
Providers and changing your preferences
Vercel hosts the website and may process technical request and security logs needed to deliver and protect it. Supabase stores our consented first-party analytics records. Other providers named in this policy may set essential technologies when you use their services, such as authentication, bookings or payments, and their privacy policies may also apply. You can open Cookie Settings in the website footer at any time to change or withdraw optional consent. Your new choice applies to future collection; it does not automatically delete information already collected lawfully. You may contact us to make an applicable deletion request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and its last-updated date will remain available on this page.
