A four-week PTE 79 plan should not be four weeks of random mock tests. Week 1 should diagnose your score pattern and fix task method. Week 2 should build speaking, listening and spelling accuracy. Week 3 should add timed writing and mixed practice. Week 4 should focus on mock-test review, weak-task repair and exam-day control.
Week 1: Diagnose and rebuild the task method
Start with a realistic diagnostic. Record your scores by task, not just your overall result. You need to know whether your problem is pronunciation, fluency, spelling, grammar, reading speed or listening memory.
Do not rush into full mock tests every day. Fix the method for the tasks that are repeatedly hurting your score.
Week 2: Build the high-value skills
Practise Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence and Write From Dictation consistently. These tasks reward daily rhythm and careful review.
Create a spelling list from your own mistakes. This is much more useful than memorising thousands of random words.
Week 3: Timed writing and mixed practice
Add timed writing and mixed practice sessions. Your goal is to stay accurate when tired, not only when doing one isolated task.
Review grammar and sentence control in essays and summaries. High-score students usually lose marks through small repeated errors, not one dramatic mistake.
Week 4: Mock test review and exam control
In the final week, do fewer new questions and more review. Look at the mistakes that keep returning and repair those patterns.
Before the exam, prepare your timing, microphone habits and speaking rhythm. Do not change your whole method two days before the test.
