Listen to the whole recording and follow its logic. At the beep, predict the meaning and grammar of the ending. Choose one option; you can change it before clicking Next.
A practical preparation method
Follow the whole message, predict how the speaker is likely to finish, and test each option for meaning, grammar and natural spoken phrasing.
Predict from context: The correct ending must complete the speaker’s argument, grammar and tone. Use the pause after audio: The next recording waits until you click Next, so evaluate the options carefully.
The common mistake to avoid
Students often focus only on the final words before the beep and ignore the speaker's argument, tone and the grammatical shape of the missing ending.
Practise a small number of attempts carefully, identify the repeated problem and correct that problem before increasing speed or volume.
What scoring information matters
Affects listening only. Three to five options; one is correct.
