From knowing to doing

You will write all four sentence types

Start with a complete simple sentence. Connect ideas, explain reasons and contrast, then bring those skills together in your own writing.

Simple

Write a complete idea and add useful detail.

Compound

Connect two complete ideas and show their relationship.

Complex

Connect a dependent clause with a complete idea.

Compound-complex

Bring together two complete ideas and a dependent clause.

A lesson you take part in

Short explanations lead straight into sentence building, choosing relationships, repairing sentences and writing your own examples. The aim is accurate writing, rather than memorising grammatical names.

Five stages take you from Simple to Compound, Complex and Compound-complex, followed by a Final Challenge. Your account keeps your progress so you can return and continue.

The course is being prepared with video recordings and writing feedback. Contact us for availability before arranging payment.

Who is it for?

English learners who can already write basic sentences and want more variety and control. You can take this focused course independently of IELTS, PTE or CELPIP preparation.
